Ken Jenkins is the Managing Partner of the San Diego Office of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP and focuses his practice on patent counseling and patent litigation, primarily in the chemical and biosciences industries. Ken assists corporations and research institutions in developing their patent claiming and filing strategies, procuring patents on cornerstone technologies, and strategically managing patent portfolios to maximize investments. He also counsels lenders and investors in assessing the value of patent assets through due diligence reviews and represents generic pharmaceutical companies in high stakes patent litigations involving challenges under the Hatch-Waxman Act. Ken earned his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, his Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Colorado, and his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas. |

Kurt M. Kjelland is a partner with Goodwin Procter LLP. He is a trial attorney who specializes in high-stakes patent and trade secret cases in the life sciences and electronics fields. Mr. Kjelland's cases have involved pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cell phones, hard disc drives, and automated processing equipment, among others. Mr. Kjelland is also a licensed patent attorney, and routinely counsels early-stage companies on a variety of IP issues, including strategic patent portfolio development, financing transactions, and litigation avoidance strategies. Mr. Kjelland earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School (1994), and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (198).

Marc T. Morley is a partner in the San Diego office of Knobbe Martens. Mr. Morley represents and counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, with a focus on patent and trademark counseling and prosecution.
